Logan Circle
Located in the northwest area of Washington D.C., Logan Circle is a historic district that is primarily residential with 135 homes of both Victorian and Romanesque styles. In fact, properties located here are listed on the National Register of Historic Places with sites designated as D.C. Historic Landmarks. A statue of Major General John A. Logan is perched at the center of the traffic circle park which is maintained by the National Park Service.
As part of this historic district, a larger Fourteenth Street Historic District has roughly 765 properties that are also historically significant that were developed in the 1880’s as a result of the streetcar lines that were built. Today, this area is home to numerous shops, restaurants, theaters, art galleries and exciting nightlife options.
