Cleveland Park
Situated just northwest of Washington D.C., Cleveland Park is noted for its abundance of late 19th century homes and the beautiful and historic Art Deco Theater. Cleveland Park was first developed with many intending on these homes to be summer retreats. Home designs featured large porches, expansive windows and covered areas all for outdoor enjoyment. However, once streetcars were implemented then a second wave of development occurred with downtown workers permanently residing in the area due to the new ease of transport. With homes having been built by a variety of architects and builders, one will see a vast array of home designs that range in size and style.
